SUSPECTS CHARGED WITH BREAKING INTO A CHURCH
On February 26th, 2014, Pastor Travis McEntyre reported a breaking and entering that was currently taking place at Foothills Harvest Transitional Service in Cliffside.
Pastor McEntyre advised he could hear people inside the church and that no one had permission to be inside.
Det. Jimmy Upton and Det. Marc Duncan of the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office were nearby and responded.
Upon arrival, Pastor McEntyre was observed in the parking lot of the church with two white males.
It was later determined that the subjects were Authur Chad Lee and Ronnie Clayton Foster.
Lee and Clayton had gained entry to the church through a broken window and were removing copper wiring from the building. Wiring was found spooled up inside the building and the walls and ceiling were damaged during its removal.
Authur Chad Lee and Ronnie Clayton Foster were both arrested and transported to the Rutherford County Detention Facility.
Both were charged with Breaking and Entering a Place of Worship, Felony Larceny, and Injuring Property to Obtain Nonferrous Metals.
The bond on both subjects was $75,000.00 secured.
