Torrance Police Apprehend Six Residential Burglars
On February 24, 2014 at approximately 8:15 AM a citizen called the Torrance Police Department and reported two male subjects in the rear yard of a residence located in the 1900 block of 230th St. Upon arrival, Officers located two suspects in the area who immediately fled when Officers attempted to make contact with them.
A short foot chase ensued and several members of the Torrance Police Department flooded the area and set up a perimeter. With the help of K-9 Police Dogs and a helicopter two suspects was located and immediately placed under arrest. Further investigation resulted in the apprehension of four additional suspects.
The reason the suspects were apprehended today was due to an alert citizen seeing something suspicious or out of the normal and contacting the Police Department.
