Local burglary suspects arrested, responsible for at least 15 residential and garage thefts, property recovered.

Burglary Suspects Arrested 02-20-2014

Burbank residents experienced a recent rash of residential and garage burglaries. There have been fifteen reports, primarily of theft of power tools, computers, and sound equipment, in just the past three weeks.

Through our investigation of these thefts and with the assistance of evidence recovered by our Forensic Specialists, a suspect was identified. An arrest warrant was obtained and Nicholas Caves, M/25, transient, was arrested by investigators late Monday afternoon.

Investigators worked through the day Tuesday and identified an additional suspect who was involved in the rash of burglaries. Tabitha Gallagher, F/24, transient, was taken into custody without incident in the 1300 block of North Beachwood.

A large amount of stolen property was recovered from several locations in the city after the arrest of both suspects. Investigators have identified fifteen separate victims based on evidence and the recovery of some property, and are in the process of notifying the victims.

Nicholas Caves was arraigned today in Burbank Superior Court and is being held without bail. Tabitha Gallagher is being held on a felony warrant for possession of stolen property and residential burglary.
