INCIDENT: Suspect in Residential Burglary Arrested
On Sunday, February 9, 2014, Officers responded to a report of a burglary on Shenandoah Court. The homeowner had returned home that afternoon and noticed items out of place in the bedroom. They soon realized that property was missing. The homeowners believed the burglary happened sometime during the daytime hours of Friday, February 7, and Sunday when they reported the crime.
After collecting evidence at the scene, and developing leads, detectives were able to identify Jonathan Hesla (5-11-87) of Petaluma as the suspect. On 2-17-2014 a search warrant was conducted at Hesla’s residence, and stolen property from the burglary was located. Hesla was not present during the search of the residence. On 2-18-2014, detectives located Hesla at the Sonoma County Courthouse as he was there for another matter. Hesla was arrested by detectives and transported to County Jail, where he was booked for burglary and possession of stolen property.
