Investigators charge man (Travis Wilson) with stealing power cords, copper wiring, lawn tools and dirt bike from neighbors
Detectives Paul Alkire, Billie Brown and Andy Manis of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Travis Dean Wilson, 34, of Laken Drive in Marion, with four counts of felony breaking and entering, two counts each of felony larceny and felony larceny after breaking and entering and one count of misdemeanor larceny.
Brown also charged Teigan Hollifield, 26, of Pinnacle Church Road in Nebo, with one count of misdemeanor larceny.
On Nov. 29, Clifford James Epley, of Epley Drive in Marion, reported that someone stole $725 worth of copper wire and extension cords from his property. Brown charged Wilson in connection with this crime.
On Dec. 20, Linda Morgan reported that someone broke into an outbuilding at her Zion Hill Road residence and took a chainsaw and an electrical cord worth a total of $250. All of the property was recovered. Manis charged Wilson in this incident.
Windy Carroll, of Epley Drive in Marion, reported on Jan. 18 that someone stole a dirt bike, three fishing poles and a power cord, valued at $1,000, from outside her home. The dirt bike was recovered. Brown charged Wilson.
Jack Ellis, of Arrowhead Trail in Marion, reported on Jan. 26 that someone removed $700 worth of items from his property, including a well pump and copper wiring. Brown charged Wilson and Hollifield in connection with this crime.
On Jan. 27, Tony Andrew, of Epley Drive in Marion, reported that someone took a weed trimmer, a leaf blower, a gas can and copper, worth a total of $1,300, from outside his home. Alkire charged Wilson in this incident.
