On February 15, 2014, archery coaches from Gibson Southern Archery attended an instructor certification training class for Scholastic 3D Archery. Scholastic 3-D Archery designs, promotes and fosters national youth and high school 3D archery competition as an after school program affiliated with educational
learning institutions. In support of this purpose, the Association is responsible for:
* Sanctioning and conducting national, local/state, and regional 3-D archery competitions and championships;
* Selecting, supporting, and managing teams and staff for 3-D archery
competitions;
* Creating and maintaining the resources and infrastructure with local
sportsman’s clubs that are necessary to support the growth of youth and high school 3D and target archery in the United States of America;
* Promoting the growth and development of instructional and competitive archery programs in the educational institutions in the United States of America; and
* Establishing and enforcing rules, regulations, and procedures concerning eligibility to compete in order to ensure fair competition.
The Gibson Southern Archery Club hopes to add this exciting program to their existing National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) already in place. This 3D program is a "next step" for many archers after the NASP program.

Attached are photos from the training class and of the 4 new instructors for Gibson Southern Archery. 3 of the instructors who operate the Gibson SouthernArchery Team are SRO's with the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office.
