UCPD is seeking assistance from the public for any information regarding a robbery and sexual assault on 2/8
On Saturday, February 8th, at around 2015 hours, Union City Police received a 911 call from a victim of a robbery.
The victim exited the Walmart store located at 30600 Dyer Street and was contacted by the suspect at her vehicle parked in the lot. During the contact, the suspect demanded property from the victim and assaulted her. The suspect was described as an African American male with no age provided by the victim. He was armed with a handgun and ordered the victim to get into her vehicle. The suspect directed the victim to drive to a nearby neighborhood in the Casa Verde area near San Luces Way and San Carlos Way. The victim was sexually assaulted at that location while inside of the vehicle. The suspect fled the area on foot in an unknown direction. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Union City Police Detectives responded to interview the victim.
