INCIDENT: ASSAULT WITH DEADLY WEAPON
LOCATION: ALLEY TO THE REAR OF 711/76 STATION, 101 N MCDOWELL BLVD
VICTIM: 28 YEAR OLD, WHITE MALE, PETALUMA RESIDENT
SUSPECT: 43 YEAR OLD WHITE MALE, PETALUMA RESIDENT
SUSPECT VEHICLE: NO VEHICLE
SUMMARY: Petaluma police were dispatched to the alley behind 101 North McDowell Blvd, 711/76 Station, on a report of a stabbing. Police arrived and immediately located a victim suffering from a small laceration to his right calf. The suspect was still on scene and detained while statements were gathered from numerous witnesses. Ultimately it was found that the victim engaged the suspect in a fist fight after the suspect accused the victim and others of stealing his cigarettes. During the altercation, the suspect produced a small pair of scissors and swiped at the victim’s leg. Both victim and suspect denied medical treatment and did not wish to have the other arrested. The investigation of the incident is on-going and at this time only limited information can be released.
