BEWARE OF PHONE SCAMS 
The St. Louis Police Department has received several calls from residents stating they are being called by persons identifying themselves as IRS agents. These so called IRS agents are attempting to obtain personal information OR they are saying that you are going to be prosecuted by the IRS and are asking for your personal information to confirm who you are so the matter can be resolved.
In both cases reported to us, the callers had foreign accents and are leaving a phone number for you to call back.
REMEMBER - DO NOT GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE.
Any calls like this can be reported to your local police department.
