Both Ewa-bound lanes at the corner of 2178 N. King St. and Poepoe Pl. are closed as Board of Water Supply (BWS) crews continue to repair a broken 6-inch main. Traffic signage and cones are being used to set up a contraflow lane that allows for one lane of traffic to remain open in each direction. Motorists are strongly urged to use an alternate route if possible.
These lane closures and contraflow lane are expected to remain in effect throughout rush hour and tonight.
Water service has not yet been restored to the 10 affected customers. They may obtain water for their needs at a water wagon set up in Poepoe Pl.
An update will be issued when water service is restored.
