"Hangout" with Sheriff Adrian Garcia During First Live Video Stream

Sheriff Adrian Garcia will be addressing the public’s questions and concerns in his first virtual town hall via Google Hangout this Friday at 2 p.m.

Through this virtual town hall, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office wants to reinforce its commitment to keeping residents safe and instill public confidence in the department’s efforts in doing so.

Residents of Harris County will have the opportunity to ask their most pressing questions regarding crime, patrolling, recruitment, inmate information, community outreach programs and so forth.

Questions can be submitted though private message on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/HCSOTexas, Twitter: @HCSOTexas using #AskSheriff or by e-mail to [email protected].

The sheriff will be joined by other HCSO personnel to answer more specific questions.

Major Steven Marino, Lt. Max Turner and Deputy Jericho Tyler, who was recently recognized on our Facebook page for capturing a sexual predator, will answer questions about patrolling.

Lt. Detention Officer Lynette Anderson will be on hand to answer questions about inmates and jails, Lt. Paul Davidson will answer questions about recruiting and HCSO Explorers Mariana Brown and Pablo Garcia will discuss the HCSO Explorers program. In addition, Sgt. Larry Franks will explain the benefits of iWatch Harris County and how the anonymous crime tipping app has been most successful for the HCSO since its launch in September 2011.
