Agents Investigate Delaware Co. Police-Involved Shooting

Tuesday afternoon the Delaware County District Attorney requested Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation agents investigate a police-involved shooting in Delaware County by McDonald County, Missouri, Sheriff Deputies. At about noon, deputies initiated a pursuit with a vehicle in McDonald County. That pursuit continued into Delaware County, Oklahoma. In the 27000 block of South 690 Road in Grove, the suspect vehicle hit a McDonald County deputy's vehicle. Two McDonald County deputies fired their weapons at the suspect vehicle. No one was injured in the shooting. The suspect, 46-year-old Douglas Brown of Pineville, Missouri, drove back to Missouri where he was eventually arrested by state police.

OSBI agents will deliver a detailed report on the shooting to the Delaware County District Attorney. He will determine whether the shooting was justified.
