Steuben County Sheriff Deputies are reporting that the snow fall is currently picking up again this morning with winds blowing between 10-20 mph. In areas where drifting is common, snow has started to drift into the roadways. County and state roads, including I69, are passable however snow covered and slippery. Some county roads have layers of ice under them still, making it very slippery in certain areas. It appears we received approximately 2--3 inches of fresh snow in most areas of the county thus far with snow falling rapidly this morning. Please drive with caution this morning, give yourself plenty of travel time and drive slower than normal. Current radar shows more snowfall throughout the morning and day. Snow fall could be heavy at times making visibility poor.
