A local woman was arrested Sunday night after allegedly attacking a female family member at their residence, throwing items at her.
Tayler Renea Griffin, 25, of 138-B Northshore Drive, was taken into custody at her residence shortly before 8 p.m. and charged with misdemeanor counts of assault on a family or household member, violation of a protection order and two counts of failure to appear.
She was still being held without bond Monday and is set to appear Feb. 18 in Garland County District Court.
According to reports, shortly after 7 p.m., Garland County sheriff ’s Deputy Elwood McConnell was dispatched to the residence regarding a disturbance in progress and made contact with the victim, 28, who stated the suspect, identified as Griffin, and her husband had left the scene.
While still talking to the victim, Griffin drove by the home and the deputy went after her and made a traffic stop and made contact with the male driver, 30, and the passenger, identified as Griffin.
McConnell learned Griffin had warrants for failure to appear and there was a protection order in effect barring her from being with the male driver. She was taken into custody without incident at that point.
The deputy spoke to the victim, who stated she and Griffin got into an argument and Griffin had pushed her and then started throwing items at her inside the home. The victim sustained a small cut to her right hand, but refused medical treatment
