Advisory

Another Storm being monitored for TOMORROW-possible 6 more inches of snow into Wednesday-be PREPARED

See the info below -potential for more snow coming-please be prepared. Stay home if possible.

A high impact relatively short duration snow event is wrapping up this
afternoon. Temperatures will drop into the teens and low 20s tonight. Any
standing water or slush will freeze.
• A new storm system will affect the region on Tuesday night into Wednesday
and bring a wide variety of winter weather (rain, icing due to freezing rain,
snow). Snowfall amounts of 6+ inches are possible, as well as an area of ice
accumulations greater than one-tenth inch due to freezing rain. There will be
some rainfall with this event, and that may be enough, when combined with
snowmelt, to produce spotty river flooding. There may also be ice jam
flooding due to the combination of rain and snowmelt forcing ice-clogged
rivers to lift and move the ice.
• There is another potential winter storm this coming weekend. More details
will become available in future briefing packages.
• The next briefing package will be issued by 400 PM Tuesday February 4th.
• Monitor our website for updated information, including new snow total and ice total
maps.
