SCHWANA, Wash. (03FEB2014) – Grant County detectives are trying to figure out who shot a 22-year-old Mattawa man on Saturday.
Robert (NMI – no middle initial) Hernandez walked into the Outpost Grocery, 20476 “B” Street Southwest in Schwana around 4:15 p.m. Feb. 1. Hernandez had a bullet wound to his belly, and he is not cooperating with investigators about who shot him or where the shooting happened. Hernandez was first taken by ambulance to Quincy Valley Medical Center, and later transferred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. He underwent surgery this morning and is in stable condition.
