Advisory

Snow coming again-click the link and see details. Dont drink and drive-call for a ride. Happy Super Bowl Sunday

Weatherworks:
Snow to start the week… while the superbowl will be relatively quiet with just a sprinkle, snow will affect the region Monday, beginning early. With a stalled front in the area, a spotty rain shower is possible at night, before becoming steadier between 3 – 6 am. With temps in the 30s, precip may begin as a mix before quickly changing to all snow as temps settle near 32 degrees. Because of the marginal temps to start (and relative warmth the past few days), pavements may struggle to accumulate, or be variable to start. However with steadier and more intense snow (especially 7 am – 3 pm)
All surfaces will be subject to accumulation. Once again, this is a southern tracking system so highest totals likely occur south of i-78, with a general 4-7”.

NOAA’s National Weather Service:
4 to 6 inches are now expected along and south of the I-95 corridor, with 1 to 4 inches expected elsewhere. A snowfall total map is included in the briefing package. Snow will begin before the start of the Monday morning commute, then continue through most of the day. The heaviest snow is expected between 9AM and 3 PM. Both the morning and afternoon commutes will be affected. This will be a wetter snow compared to the puffy snow we've gotten in the past few storms. Winds will be blowing from the northeast in the 10 to 15 mph range as the snow is falling, so blowing and drifting snow should not be as much of a problem in this event. Temperatures will drop into the teens and 20s Monday night, so any standing water will freeze. Another storm is expected midweek, and another storm is possible next weekend. Stay tuned.
