UCPD Special Enforcement Leads to Arrest of Vehicle Burglary Suspect

On 01/26/14, Union City police detectives conducted special enforcement at the Union Landing Shopping center. At 6:45 P.M., investigators saw three suspects burglarizing a vehicle and removing the victim’s property. The suspect vehicle quickly fled from the area and drove onto the surface streets. Union City police officers followed the vehicle to Palm Drive, where the suspects abandoned their vehicle and fled on foot. The suspects were not immediately located and their vehicle was impounded by police. The vehicle contained the victim’s property which was returned to the owner.

Detective J. Cordero conducted further follow up and identified Marquece Beck-Natson, 22 years, Pittsburg, CA, as one of the suspects in this investigation. Detectives arrested Beck on 01/29/14 when he responded to UCPD to report his vehicle as stolen. Detectives are in the process of identifying the other two suspects.
