Breaking and Entry of Vacant Dwellings have occurred in Grosse Pointe Farms during the week of January 24, 2014 
On January 24, 2014, a Real Estate Agent representing bank-owned properties on the 400 block of HILLCREST within the city of Grosse Pointe Farms, discovered break-ins at two locations. Unknown perpetrators, possibly posing as restoration or clean-up crews, removed the lock box from the front entry doors, unlocked and removed the rear doors and took the copper piping as well as mechanicals, such as hot water heaters, a stove, microwave, furnace, sinks, cabinets, toilets and vanities.
Residents are asked to alert police regarding any activity at known vacant buildings in their neighborhoods, regardless of whether or not it appears suspicious. Do not take it upon yourself to investigate them.
The bad guys are counting on you not calling.
