INET raids Quincy home; lots of stolen property found

Near QUINCY, Wash. (28JAN2014) – Grant County's Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team arrested a Quincy man yesterday and in the process found a large amount of suspected stolen property.

INET raided a home and shop at 12253 Road P-Northwest. INET had been investigating the property and occupant for about two years, prompted by citizen complaints of excessive vehicle traffic to and from the house. INET detectives then bought methamphetamine at the home during drug buy operations.

Monday Jan. 27, INET raided the home, arresting Ruben Antonio Garza, 43. While at the home, detectives recovered many, many pieces of stolen and suspected stolen property. The items include collector coins, tools, computers, ATVs, and firearms.

Garza is lodged in the Grant County Jail on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a drug house, first-degree possession of stolen property, first-degree trafficking stolen property, and two counts of first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.

“INET detectives eyed this house and Garza for two years, and the result is a solid case,” said Sheriff Tom Jones. “We found a lot of stolen property at this raid, and we'll build a list of the recovered items to try and reunite them with their rightful owners.”

The investigation continues.
