Detectives charge Robert Doring, of Marion, with stealing from three neighbors
Detective Billie Brown of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Robert William Doring, 16, of Lytle Mountain Road in Marion, with two felony counts each of breaking and entering and larceny.
In addition, Detective Andy Manis charged Doring with two counts each of felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle and misdemeanor larceny.
Doring is accused of stealing from three of his neighbors.
On Jan. 3, Ruth Elliott, of West Park Drive in Marion, reported that someone broke into her outbuilding and took three lawn mower batteries, valued at $150. Brown investigated this case.
The batteries were recovered.
On Jan. 4, Arnando Medina Juarez, of Lytle Mountain Road, told deputies that someone broke into two trucks parked at his residence and removed the vehicles’ batteries, a Carhartt jacket and two bags of tools with a total value of $670. Manis investigated this incident.
All of the property, except for one battery, was recovered.
On Jan. 9, Michelle Federici, of Pennsylvania, reported that someone broke into a house on Lytle Mountain Road and stole a $400 wood stove and a set of keys. Brown investigated these crimes.
The wood stove was recovered.
