Sheriff's Office cancels Tuesday (Jan. 28) jail inmate visitation 
The Harris County Jail will be closed to inmate visits Tuesday due to potentially hazardous travel conditions for visitors and staff. Routine visitation hours will resume Wednesday, weather conditions allowing.
All county government buildings are closed Tuesday. But except for the visitation cancellation, normal operations in the jail system will continue.
Usually, members of the public are allowed to visit inmates Tuesdays 4 - 9 p.m.; Wednesdays 4 - 9 p.m.; Saturdays 3:30 - 9 p.m. and Sundays 3:30 - 9 p.m.
