On Sunday, January 19, 2014 an armed robbery occurred at the S & A Dollar Store located at 1042 W Rosecrans avenue, in the City of Gardena. A male Hispanic entered the location, headed towards the refrigerator area and grabbed a soft drink. He can be seen approaching the store clerk at the counter and handing the clerk money. When the clerk opened the register the suspect pulled out a black handgun, pointed it at the clerk and demanded all the money from the cash register. After taking the money, the suspect ran from the store in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a male Hispanic adult in his 30s, wearing a hat, grey hooded sweatshirt and had a bandage on the left side of his neck. The suspect was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.
