A local teen was arrested Friday night after allegedly pushing his older sister off the porch of his residence, possibly injuring her head.
Kenneth Carl Mullin II, 18, of 1024 Highway 7 north, was taken into custody at his residence shortly before 7:30 p.m. and charged with a misdemeanor count of first-degree assault on a family or household member, punishable by up to one year in jail.
Mullin was later released on $1,000 bond and is set to appear Feb. 4 in Garland County District Court.
According to reports, the victim, Samantha A. Mullin, 23, of Hot Springs Village, was transported by LifeNet to Mercy Hospital Hot Springs for treatment and was reportedly complaining of pain in the back of her head.
Garland County Sheriff ’s Sgt. Roy Williams responded to the residence and made contact with Kenneth Mullin and the victim.
He noted he didn’t observe any bruises or cuts on the victim before she was transported.
Kenneth Mullin and his sister allegedly got into an altercation on the porch of the residence during which Mullin pushed her causing her to fall backwards off the porch and strike her head.
The report notes the victim wanted to pursue charges so Mullin was taken into custody without incident.
The report did not indicate what started the altercation between the two.
