Patoka man arrested for Criminal Recklessness w/ a weapon after Tues morning incident.

On Tuesday January 21, 2014 at approximately 8:47 a.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a report of a man shooting a firearm at the residence of 306 East School Street in Patoka, Indiana. The caller identified the suspect as Douglas N. Dillon age 49. Upon arriving in the area near the reported incident deputies observed Mr. Dillon sitting in a Red 2000 Chevy Pickup. During a roadside investigation Mr. Dillon was read his Miranda warning and two .50 caliber muzzle loaders were located in the vehicle. Deputy Dan Goedde of the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office advised that the primers in each gun were used indicating that both weapons had recently been fired. Upon finishing the investigation at 306 E. School Street and at the vehicle Douglas N. Dillon was transported to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon. Mr. Dillon is being held without bond pending his initial court hearing.
