Winter Storm Warning for our area: Tues (21st) into Weds (22nd), expect 6-10 inches of snow and strong winds

WINTER STORM WARNING in effect for our area, Tues into Wed. Expect 6-10" of snow, Winds of 15-25 mph, 30 mph gusts

The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER STORM WARNING in effect from noon Tuesday to 6:00 AM Wednesday.

Snow accumulation of 6-10 inches is expected in our area. Snowfall will begin late Tuesday morning and will continue through Tuesday night, tapering off early Wednesday morning. The heaviest snowfall is expected Tuesday afternoon and evening.

Temperatures will be between 10-19 degrees. Winds 15-25 MPH with gusts up to 30 MPH. Wind chills as low as -10 below zero late Tuesday night.

Falling, blowing and drifting snow will cause hazardous travel and walking conditions in the area. Extreme cold could cause frostbite in a short period of time. Dress appropriately.

A WINTER STORM WARNING for heavy snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an emergency.
