SUSPECT #1: Malik, Yahya Abdul, 22 year-old male, City of Gilroy Resident
SUSPECT #2: Malik, Khalid Abdul, 24 year-old male, City of Gilroy Resident
SUSPECT #3: Neely, Randi Marshade, 21 year-old female, City Gilroy Resident
SUSPECT #4: Wade, Ivan Diego, 21 year-old male, City of Seaside Resident

Details:
On 01/16/2014 Gilroy Police Officers were conducting a follow-up investigation on a runaway juvenile case. At approximately 5:00 PM, this investigation led police officers to a motel room at the 5500 Block of Monterey Road. The victim had previously been reported as a runaway by her mother on 01/14/2014.

The subsequent investigation by officers revealed a prostitution ring involving the above group. It was determined that the female juvenile victim had an on-going relationship with Suspect #1, who also had been using her as a prostitute. The other suspects were also present and had knowledge of the illicit activity.

Gilroy Police Detectives responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. There is no indication at this point to suggest that the victim had been taken by force. A search warrant was obtained for two rooms at this location and evidence was collected corroborating statements received.
All of the suspects were transported to the Santa Clara County Jail where they were booked and Human Trafficking and Conspiracy Charges. Suspect Yahya Abul Malik was charged with the additional charges noted above.

Gilroy Police Detectives continue to investigate and continue to follow-up on leads that may direct them to additional victims.
