Advisory

Monica Helberg is okay and back in Grant County

Grant County Deputies have 16-year-old Monica Helberg in custody. She is being reunited with her family. She turned herself in to a Moses Lake attorney around 4 p.m. today. The attorney notified the Sheriff’s Office.

Monica is safe, in good health and confirms she was not abducted – she traveled willingly with Logan Moncada . Her parents are enroute to pick her up in Moses Lake.

Logan was not at the attorney’s office and we don’t know where he is. Unless we receive information that a crime was committed we won’t be looking for him.

“We’re all very happy that Monica did the right thing and came home,” said Sheriff Tom Jones. “The past several days have been very busy, and I thank everyone who helped us search for Monica.”

This is the final update on this incident.
