A traffic stop on a vehicle that reportedly had fictitious tags lead to the arrest of two suspects on multiple charges early Saturday.
Andrea Marie Burciaga, 31, who lists an address of 250 Morphew Road, was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, each punishable by up to one year in jail, and had a warrant for failure to pay.
Charles David Barentine, 55, who lists an address of 130 Jennison Square, was charged with one count of carrying a weapon, punishable by up to one year in jail. Burciaga was later released on $3,625 bond and Barentine was released on $1,000 bond and both are set to appear Jan. 21 in Garland County District Court.

Deputy Clayton Green arrived to assist and made contact with the vehicle’s passenger, identified as Burciaga, and the driver, identified as Barentine, who had no proof of insurance, so a wrecker was called to tow the vehicle.
While inventorying the car, a wallet was found on the passenger side that contained loose plastic baggies. On the floorboard on the passenger side, the deputies found a pair of tweezers, a white napkin containing a syringe and a straw.
Burciaga was taken into custody and in patting her down they found a small baggie of marijuana, about 2.4 grams, 15 other baggies and five Xanax pills.
A fully loaded .38-caliber revolver was found in the vehicle which Barentine admitted was his
