UPDATE re: Incident involving teen in Burbank Sunday evening 
On January 12, 2014 at approximately 7:30 p.m., Burbank Police officers responded to the area of Magnolia Boulevard and Keystone Street regarding a possible kidnapping report. A citizen was standing by in the area with the visibly distraught 16 year-old female victim.
Additional police resources were called in to conduct a thorough investigation of the alleged incident. The investigation concluded today and it has been determined the teenage victim created the story of the alleged kidnapping.
The Burbank Police Department takes all reports of this nature seriously and will continue to take all of the necessary steps to ensure the communities safety.
We have determined there is no threat to the community.
