Precautionary Boil Water Notice for City Utility Customers South of Gulf Dr & East of Grand Blvd
Date: January 13, 2014
Precautionary Boil Water Notice
New Port Richey, Florida — Water Main Break on Cecelia Drive. Affected customers are all City Utility Customers south of Gulf Drive and east of Grand Boulevard, including the neighborhoods of Tanglewood I, Tanglewood II, Briar Patch, The Meadows, Hazeldon, and Tropic Shores.
The water distribution system temporarily lost pressure within the past 12 hours. As a precautionary measure, New Port Richey Utilities advises that all water used for drinking or cooking be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient.
This precautionary notice will remain in effect until normal water service is restored and a 2-day bacteriological survey shows that water is safe for drinking and cooking.
Ice made during the time that water is required to be boiled should be discarded.
New Port Richey Utilities will rescind the notice after receiving satisfactory bacteriological survey results. Residents will be immediately notified by posting or hand delivery. The City apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
