Update on Endangered Missing Person Advisory -- Monica Helberg
Confirmed sighting of Miles “Logan” Moncada Saturday night Jan. 11 at a motel in Albuquerque, NM. Police went to motel and found the room vacant and black hair dye and disposable razors in the room, so likely one or both have changed appearance. Monica was not seen at the motel, only Logan Moncada.
Updated vehicle info: Yellow 2014 Ford Focus, Wash. plates ANR8440. (Logan did own an older yellow Focus with California plates, but that is not the vehicle they are in). It’s possible they’re enroute Crystal City (Zavala County), Texas where Logan has family.
Anyone with information call 9-1-1 or send info to [email protected]. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
Investigators, in cooperation with other police agencies, have found no obvious evidence Monica was abducted, but since there has been no direct contact with her, there is concern for her welfare. Her family believes she may have been taken by Moncada and may be in danger. Her family and the sheriff’s office are hoping for direct confirmation from Monica that she is okay.
“We’re all concerned about Monica’s safety, and her family wants her to come home,” said Sheriff Tom Jones. “At a minimum, we hope she calls home to talk to her parents to let them know she is okay, but certainly having her back home is what we all hope for.”
