The game is over for five gameroom robbers

Hard, lengthy work by two HCSO investigators has led to charges of aggravated robbery against five men in two terrorizing gameroom hold-ups that took place last summer.

Elbert Avie, 47, was involved in both robberies, one at gunpoint just after midnight June 14 at The Jokers Wild gameroom at 930 S. Mason Rd, in which $70,000 was taken from customers and/or the business; the other around 2 a.m. July 27 at a gameroom at 2002 Fry Rd. in which a security guard was disarmed.

In addition, Jeremiah Dellavecchia, 27, has been charged in the June robbery. Kendrick Wilder, 22, Sheriff Eyitayo, 21 and Khristian Perez, 24, were charged in the July robbery.

All except Perez are in custody. Mug shots of Avie, Dellavechia, Eyitayo and Wilder are attached in that order

HCSO sergeants R. Coleman and S. Ashmore investigated the cases.

Hundreds of illegal gamerooms in Harris County are potential targets for robberies and shootings. New regulations take effect March 1 that give authorities the power to shut down gamerooms that do not meet new licensing and free requirements.
