Officers are on scene of several vehicle slide-offs and accidents on US-31 from Sternberg to Sherman due to icey conditions. Use extreme caution and slow down if traveling in this area. Please avoid this area if possible.
Also, please remember to move over for all emergency responders. The Michigan Emergency Vehicle Move Over Law requires the operator of a vehicle traveling on a highway designed with two or more lanes of travel in the same direction to carefully move into an open lane at least one lane away from the emergency vehicle if safe to do so.
