Deputies looking for older model green Ford Escort; driver believed to have stolen gas from Shuford's on Jan. 1 
McDowell County sheriff’s deputies are looking for the owner of this car, who allegedly stole gas from a local convenience store last week.
The driver allegedly pumped $26.61 worth of fuel at Shuford’s Convenience Store, on U.S. 70 West in Old Fort, on Wednesday, Jan. 1 and drove away.
It is described as an older model green Ford Escort.
Anyone with information about the vehicle or suspect is asked to call Detective Jason Grindstaff of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office at 652-2237 or McDowell County Crimestoppers at 65-CRIME (652-7463). With Crimestoppers, your identity remains anonymous, and you could receive a cash reward.
