Winter Storm Warning in effect from 6 pm this evening thru 1 pm Friday. 4-8 inches snow, high winds and extreme cold 
National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Essex Fells from 6pm this evening until 1pm Friday.
Tonight's council meeting has been cancelled.
All on street/overnight parking has been suspended for the snow emergency.
4-8 Inches of snow is expected to fall. Winds of 15-25MPH with gusts to 35MPH. Temperature will drop into the teens with wind chills of zero to -5 degrees.
Travel this evening is expected to become hazardous and visibility may be limited due to blowing snow.
A weather watch indicates the potential for severe or damaging weather conditions.
