Suspect Gilbert Williamson arrested Sunday in Moses Lake

MOSES LAKE, Wash. (30DEC2013) – Gilbert Williamson, wanted in connection with the Dec. 10 shooting of Dale Olmos near Moses Lake, was arrested Dec. 29 by Moses Lake police. He was taken into custody without incident at a home on Earl Road. Williamson is lodged in the Grant County Jail.

Prosecutors charged Williamson with first-degree rendering criminal assistance for his role in the shooting. Jordan Wiester, 21, and Jose Rivera, 16, are in custody and facing charges of attempted first-degree murder.

“I am thankful for the tips sent to us by citizens, and to the Moses Lake Police Department for catching Williamson and getting him into custody,” said Sheriff Tom Jones. “This is another example of how community and interagency cooperation helps fight crime.”
