Near STRATFORD, Wash. – A U.S. Bureau of Reclamation employee was critically injured around 8:20 a.m. today during a fall at the Pinto Dam at the north end of Billy Clapp Lake, about 18 miles east of Ephrata, Wash.

The man was working at the dam, apparently slipped on icy concrete and fell about 35 feet onto concrete below. GCSO is withholding the man’s name until his family can be notified. Washington Labor and Industries will investigate.
