Nebo man (Jimmy Eugene Lowery Jr.) charged with using stolen food stamp card to buy groceries 
Detective Nathan Mace of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Jimmy Eugene Lowery Jr., 31, of Chestnut Oak Forest Drive in Nebo, with felony possession of stolen goods and misdemeanor larceny.
Lisa Embler, of Mars Hill, reported that she was at the home of Lowery and other people last month, when her wallet went missing.
Mace said Lowery took Embler’s food stamp card from the wallet and used it to buy $174.10 worth of groceries at Walmart on Nov. 18.
