TPD seeks robber who assaulted store clerk
Torrance Police Department is looking to identify a suspect wanted for an armed robbery that occurred during the afternoon hours at Yum Yum Donuts, 17200 block Prairie, on November 27, 2013.
The incident involved a lone suspect who entered the business armed with a cutting instrument, physically assaulted an employee and forced her into a back room where she was stabbed multiple times. The suspect subsequently fled the location on foot with cash stolen from the register.
The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics and transported to a local hospital where she was stabilized.
The suspect is described as a black male, 30-40 years old, six foot tall and thin. The suspect was last seen wearing an orange, short sleeve button-up shirt, khaki pants, a dark blue baseball cap and white tennis shoes.
