WINTER STORM WARNING has been issued for Hunterdon County for 7am Saturday till 5am Sunday

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WARNING FOR SNOW...THEN SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN...WHICH IS
IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM SATURDAY TO 5 AM EST SUNDAY. THIS WARNING
REPLACES THE PREVIOUSLY ISSUED WINTER STORM WATCH.

* LOCATIONS...EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA TO THE NORTHWEST OF THE
INTERSTATE 95 CORRIDOR THROUGH NORTHWEST NEW JERSEY ALONG AND
NORTH OF INTERSTATE 78.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 6 TO 8 INCHES...ALONG WITH
AROUND ONE QUARTER OF AN INCH OF ICE.

* TIMING...SNOW IS ANTICIPATED TO OVERSPREAD THE AREA DURING
SATURDAY MORNING AND CONTINUE SATURDAY EVENING. THE SNOW MAY
MIX WITH OR CHANGE TO A PERIOD OF SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN
SATURDAY NIGHT BEFORE TAPERING OFF EARLY SUNDAY MORNING.

* HEAVIEST SNOWFALL RATES... SHOULD OCCUR BETWEEN 3 PM AND
MIDNIGHT WHEN SNOWFALL MAY ACCUMULATE ONE INCH AN HOUR AT TIMES
WITH VISIBILITY RESTRICTED AT TIMES TO LESS THAN ONE HALF MILE.

* TEMPERATURES...IN THE 20S THROUGH THE ENTIRE STORM...POSSIBLY
DOWN INTO THE TEENS AT TIMES IN THE POCONOS AND THE HIGHER
TERRAIN OF SUSSEX COUNTY NJ.

* IMPACTS...HAZARDOUS TRAVEL ON SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY ROADS.
BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES TEND TO ICE UP FIRST.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW...
SLEET...AND ICE ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. GUSTY WINDS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE.
THIS WILL MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE.
