Reward Offered in 9-Year-Old Missing Person Case

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is offering up to a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the death of Stephan Adams. Adams, a 26-year-old student at Northeastern State University, was driving from school December 13, 2004, after taking a final exam. He spoke to his girlfriend at approximately 11:30 a.m. during the drive. He indicated he had another person in the truck with him. That person’s identity is unknown at this time. The OSBI, Tahlequah Police Department, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department, and the District Attorney’s Office have followed hundreds of leads since Adams’ disappearance.

Persons of interest have been developed but more information is needed to make arrests. Adams’ 1995 white Chevrolet pickup truck remains missing. The truck’s license tag is SCQ-714. The truck has chrome bed rails and a red pinstripe down the sides. The OSBI is particularly interested in any information on where Adams may be located. If you have any information to help solve this case, please call the OSBI at 1-800-522-8017.
