Captain Merrill Ladenheim, Artesia Special Assignment Team Deputies and Volunteers serve seniors at Artesia’s Senior Christmas Luncheon. 
On Wednesday, December 11, 2013, Lakewood Sheriff’s Station’s Captain Merrill Ladenheim, Artesia Special Assignment Team Deputies and station Volunteers donned their hairnets and gloves to help serve local seniors for the annual Senior Christmas Luncheon at the Artesia Community Center. Ordinarily local seniors gather to socialize and participate in various daily events, but this day was unique. This was a time for seniors to gather to celebrate the holidays, while having Sheriff’s Department members wait their tables. Mayor Tony Lima, council members Sally Flowers, Victor Manalo and Ali Taj also joined in celebrating with local seniors. It was just another great day in Artesia!
