At around 10:00 a.m. a driver alerted a Dallas Police Officer that ice from the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge had struck their vehicle. The officer immediately closed the west side of the bridge and called for assistance to close the east side of the bridge. As of 12:30 PM today, ice was still falling from the bridge. There have been no reports of injury or vehicle damage as a result of falling ice.
The department will work with the Dallas Streets Department to determine when it is safe to reopen the bridge will.
