Planning Commission public workshop is scheduled on Tuesday, 12/17/13, 6:30 pm, Planning Dept. 8th Floor Hearing Room at 2930 Wetmore Ave.

Item 1: Workshop on Riverfront project - Residential Development

The City of Everett approved the sale of the Riverfront Development from OliverMcMillan to Polygon. The request is to change the development on the Simpson Pad from a combination of single family detached, single family attached and multiple family housing to single family detached only. The purpose of the workshop is the introduction of the proposed changes to the Development Agreement between the City of Everett and Polygon.

Item 2: Workshop – Code Amendment - Fee Simple Small Lot Subdivisions for Multiple Family Developments

The purpose of the public workshop is to discuss potential amendments to the City’s development standards to allow townhouse developments in zones allowing multiple family dwellings. Potential changes would allow for lots smaller than allowed by current standards, private streets instead of public streets, reduced lot width and setbacks, garage standards, and other design related standards.

Item 3: Public Hearing on the Scope of an Environment Impact Statement on a proposal for property on Airport Road north of Evergreen Way

The Planning Department has issued a Declaration of Significance for the docket request to amend the Comprehensive Plan designation for an 8 acre property from 5.3 (Light Industrial) to 4.4 (Mixed Use Commercial – Multiple Family) implemented by a rezone from C-2 (Heavy Commercial – Light Industrial) to E-1 (Evergreen Way Zone) along Airport Road. This is an input session to gather comments on the scope of the environmental review. Beyond comment opportunities afforded at this hearing, written and email comments regarding the scope of the environmental review may be made until December 23, 2013.
