A local man was arrested Tuesday afternoon for allegedly shoving his girlfriend, causing an injury to her shoulder, at her residence.
Kevin Royce Williams Jr., 28, who lists an address of 108 Kate St., was taken into custody shortly before 3:30 p.m. and charged with third-degree domestic battery, a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail. He also had a parole hold on him and was being held without bond Wednesday and is set to appear Dec. 17 in district court.
According to reports, GCSD Cpl. Felix Hunter responded to 729 Amity Road and spoke to the victim, 34, who was crying and said her boyfriend, Williams, had got mad at her because she found out about his past and charged he had against him.
She told the suspect he needed to leave the house and he got angry and pushed her into a table, causing a bruise on her left shoulder which Hunter noted. Williams reportedly denied pushing the victim and claimed her bruise was “just a hickey.”
