The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office has teamed up with Senior Services to present information to the community on current scams happening here in McHenry County. The presentation will be Friday, December 6, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Senior Services in McHenry Township.
Scams that target our community are always changing. This quarterly educational series will provide information on seasonal scams and information on the current trends observed in the last three months. Tips will be given on what to watch out for, how to protect yourself, and what to do if you become a victim.
This presentation is designed for all McHenry County residents. Those who are caregivers to a senior or are a senior themselves are especially encouraged to participate because often seniors are the targeted victims.
“Our goal with these presentations is to share information and arm our citizens with knowledge in an effort to prevent them from becoming victims,” stated Undersheriff Andrew Zinke
