Mark David Lewis, 53, of 114 Westhill Lane, was taken into custody at his residence shortly after 11 p.m. Friday and charged with two counts of third-degree domestic battery, one for an incident that night and another from a warrant.
He was initially held without bond but had bonded out as of Monday and is set to appear Dec. 17 in district court.
According to reports, GCSD Deputy Melvin Holland was dispatched to the Westhill residence regarding a battery and spoke to the victim, 48, who stated her husband, identified as Lewis, had attacked her.
She states she was in the bedroom when Lewis became angry with her and pushed her head against a television. She went into the kitchen, but he followed her, she states, and punched her in the face while screaming at her.
Holland noted the victim had bruising on one cheek and two scratches on the other. When Holland made contact with Lewis, he claimed the victim had hit him first. A check showed he already had a warrant for domestic battery.
