A local man was arrested Saturday evening after allegedly attacking his older sister while she was at his house.
Jeffery Matthew Olaru, 18, of 3816 Albert Pike Road, was taken into custody at his residence shortly after 6 p.m. and charged with third-degree domestic battery, a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail.
Olaru, who also had a hold on him from the Conway Police Department, was still being held without bond Monday and is set to appear Dec. 10 in district court.
According to reports, GCSD Deputies Wharton and Richard Huffman responded to a disturbance at the residence and were met by the victim, 20, who stated her brother, identified as Olaru, had told her to get off their parents’ property, and when she wouldn’t leave started punching her in the face and then put her in a chokehold.
She stated she had to bite him to get him to let go because she was starting to black out. She states he then told her she “had to take a bath before she could leave” and pushed her into the swimming pool. It was noted it was 36 degrees at the time.
She states he then grabbed her and started dragging her to her car and slamming her to the ground.
Wharton noted the victim was wet and had a cut on her lip and left thumb and redness and swelling to her face. It was also noted she was crying and “very afraid.”
The deputies made contact with Olaru, who stated his sister would not leave the property so he grabbed her and was taking her to her car when she hit him. He stated he hit her back and then they both fell into the pool.
He stated when she got into her car she told him she was “calling the cops” so he ran her off the property and went inside.
The report notes the victim and her father, 57, both stated he told her she could be there so she could get some stuff to change her oil.
