Idalou Closures and Tips 
The Idalou Public Library will be closed today, Friday November 22nd and the Collection Station will be closed tomorrow, Saturday, November 23rd. If you were planning to visit the Collection Station tomorrow please call City Hall and we will be more than happy to schedule a time to meet you at the Collection Station.

Here are a couple of tips for protecting your water pipes:
- Let your indoor faucets drip.
- Open cabinet doors below sinks to allow heat from your home to circulate.
- Locate your home’s main water valve in case you need to turn off water to your home. The main water valve is usually located where the main waterline enters your house.
- Make sure your irrigation system is turned off.
Also remember to keep your pets warm! Make sure you do not use heat lamps, flood lights, or other hot burning lamps to warm enclosures. Not only do those types of lamps present a fire danger, but they also burn too hot for animals and can pose other health risks.
